Certified Premium Pellets

Act regionally,
choose quality.

Certified Premium Pellets (CPP) stand for certified premium quality, traceable and transparent environmental standards, and responsible production using regional raw materials.

An independent certification process verifies compliance with the specified criteria and highlights the specific characteristics of certified pellets. In this way, CPP combines regional value creation, efficient use of resources and certified premium quality – for a heating solution that seamlessly combines responsible business practices with product quality.

CO2 footprint
making it measurable

In the production of CPP pellets, all sources of emissions are taken into account, from raw material extraction through pelletisation to transport to the factory gate. CPP pellets must have a maximum carbon footprint of 7 g CO₂-eq. per MJ, which is 8 to 10 times lower than that of oil and natural gas.

for the region

The wood raw materials used come from within a radius of max. 200 km. This avoids unnecessary transport and strengthens the local economy.

Efficient
from what remains

CPP pellets are produced from 100% residual materials that comply with the principles of the SURE system for forestry biomass and the generation of waste and residual materials from biomass. This creates sustainable heat without consuming additional resources.

Efficient
combustion

Quality that exceeds existing standards and guidelines, together with stricter limit values for ash and dust, ensure high fuel quality, protect the plant’s equipment and guarantee the reliable operation of the heating systems.

Premium-Quality,
that creates clean heat.

Certified Premium Pellets stand for quality that exceeds existing standards and guidelines – reliably tested and independently certified. Stricter limits for ash, dust, fines, moisture and sulphur than those required by the international standard DIN EN ISO 17225-2 Class A1 ensure high fuel quality, protect the heating system and guarantee reliable operation of the heating systems. This benefits consumers, specialist retailers and boiler manufacturers alike.

CPP – for certified quality and reliable heating.

Statutory sustainability requirements+
regional production.

CPP pellets comply with the statutory sustainability requirements of European Directive 2023/2413 and the relevant national laws, regulations and support schemes, and also impose additional requirements regarding the origin of raw materials and production. The wood raw materials used must come from within a maximum radius of 200 km. For the use of residual materials, the SURE system’s principles governing the production of forestry biomass and the generation of waste and residual materials from biomass apply. In addition, a maximum carbon footprint of 7 g CO₂/eq. per MJ is stipulated.

Compliance with these criteria is verified and documented by independent external inspection bodies as part of the CPP certification process.

A mark of
trust and tested top quality

Certified Premium Pellets are developed according to a transparent RAL procedure in cooperation with consumer associations, companies, independent auditors and government agencies. The recognised system of self-monitoring and external monitoring ensures reliable compliance with all quality and sustainability standards.
